Hear from Students
Who’ve Been in
Your Shoes

"The faculty at SCU studied Ayurveda, but they also live it. When you learn from people who embody this wisdom, it's so much easier to grasp this knowledge. I feel like the combination of the training and the supportive faculty, and the support I've recieved from my peers and my classmates has given me the confidence I need to start my practice."

PORTIA HARRIS
Student, Ayurveda Program

"I wanted to be part of a program that focuses on looking at  traditional forms of medicine and bringing them forward into the modern present-day and finding ways to utilize them with other practitioners. So, I think one of the greatest things here at SCU is the teachers' focus on the tradition of Ayurveda but also how to bring it into the modern medical world."

Learn the Science of Life in our

Ayurveda Wellness and Ayurveda Practitioner programs.

Ayurveda originated in India 5,000 years ago as a natural and holistic system of medicine that uses (and means) the science of life to treat the mind, body, and spirit. Ayurvedic healing involves balancing doshas – energies derived from the elements (air, water, fire, earth, and space) that govern bodily functions. The optimal state of health is achieved when doshas are balanced in their natural proportions.

We offer two Ayurveda certificate options to fit your goals. Choose to pursue a 1-year Ayurvedic Wellness Educator certificate or continue your course of study during a second year to complete our 2-year Ayurvedic Practitioner program.
